full-time Our office is a privately owned, Holistic dental practice with a friendly, professional, and laid-back atmosphere. We are not a high-volume managed-care office. We take pride in providing personalized care, building lasting relationships with our patients, and creating an excellent patient experience. We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong dental front-office and insurance experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of dental billing and accounts receivable. Medical billing experience is a strong plus, as our practice also works with medical insurance for certain dental procedures. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally Answer and manage incoming phone calls Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Check patients in and out Maintain an organized and efficient daily schedule Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances Discuss treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients Assist patients with financing options Maintain accurate patient records Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and the clinical team Verify patients' dental and medical insurance benefits Determine eligibility, coverage, limitations, exclusions, and estimated insurance payments Prepare accurate treatment estimates and patient financial arrangements Explain insurance benefits and predeterminations/pre-authorizations to patients Submit dental and, when applicable, medical insurance claims Follow up on outstanding claims and predeterminations Post insurance and patient payments accurately Generate and review insurance and accounts-receivable reports Generate patient statements Manage outstanding and overdue accounts Follow up on unpaid patient balances and insurance claims Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim and payment issues Assist with insurance appeals and claim corrections when necessary QualificationsRequired Previous experience working in a dental office front-office/reception position Strong knowledge of dental insurance and dental terminology Experience verifying insurance benefits and preparing treatment estimates Experience with dental claims, payment posting, and accounts receivable Excellent communication and patient-service skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Professional, dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vacation days
