Woodbury Heights, NJ Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off On-the-job training Qualifications Computer operation Teamwork Administrative experience Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Position Overview Westwood Oral Surgery is seeking a friendly, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Hybrid Front Desk & Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our busy, patient-centered oral surgery practice. This is a hybrid, entry-level-friendly position , and no prior dental or medical office experience is required . We are willing to train the right candidate. This role combines front desk coordination, patient scheduling, insurance verification, treatment estimates, and administrative support . The position will work across multiple areas of the practice and provide support wherever needed. The ideal candidate is professional, personable, comfortable speaking with patients, eager to learn, and able to stay organized while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Patient Coordination Greet and assist patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. Check patients in and out. Collect patient payments and assist with account questions. Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain smooth patient flow. Provide a positive and welcoming patient experience. Insurance Verification & Treatment Estimates Verify dental and medical insurance benefits by phone and online. Review eligibility, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, frequencies, waiting periods, exclusions, and remaining annual maximums. Verify insurance coverage for oral surgery procedures. Prepare treatment estimates based on verified insurance information. Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility and benefits. Follow up on pending insurance information. Document insurance information accurately in the practice management system. Qualifications No prior dental or medical office experience required — we will train the right candidate. Previous customer service, administrative, healthcare, or office experience is a plus but not required. Friendly, professional, and compassionate personality. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Comfortable learning new computer systems and software. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Dental, medical, insurance, or oral surgery experience is a plus, but not required . Training Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. The successful candidate will be trained on our practice management software, insurance verification procedures, treatment estimates, patient financial processes, scheduling, and front-desk responsibilities.
