The ideal candidate is organized, personable, comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office, and able to multitask while providing an excellent experience for our patients. As one of the first points of contact for our practice, you will play an important role in keeping the front office running smoothly and helping patients feel welcomed and cared for. Previous medical office experience is preferred. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out in a friendly and professional manner Assist patients with questions Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility Collect copays, deductibles, and other patient balances as appropriate Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Communicate with providers, clinical staff, patients, pharmacies, and other medical offices Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and patient messages Assist with general front-office administrative duties Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Help maintain an organized and efficient workflow throughout the office Qualifications Previous medical receptionist, medical office, or healthcare experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Strong computer skills and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is preferred Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion High school diploma or equivalent required Medical administrative training or related education is a plus Compensation $18.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Daytime schedule No nights No weekends No major holidays Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday In-person position About You We would love to meet you if you are friendly, reliable, patient-focused, computer-savvy, and enjoy being part of a team.
