Berkeley Family Practice is seeking a Front Office Medical Representative to provide daily activities in the front office setting. We work hard to support team players for our practice.

JOB FUNCTION FOR ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES

Greeting patients Recognize and register patients Verify current informational status Collect co-pays and account balances by checking in the EMR designated sections Check with patient and the EMR for insurance accuracy Check EMR notes for patient insurance eligibility approval or denial Answer incoming calls and direct calls appropriately Schedule patient appointments appropriately Confirm next day appointments Knowledge of medical terminology Process patient information forms Confirm patient information and process for each appointment Ensures patients receive appointment reminders or appointment cards Record and post deposits timely, accurately and neatly daily by completing daily balance sheets Post patients timely, accurately to patients account Ability to open and close front office Ability to record and accurately monitor cash draw Ability to process credit cards timely and accurately Ability to take accurate messages and distribute accordingly Maintain a clean and orderly work area and reception area Maintain a working relationship with co-workers- to include front office, billing office and medical assistants and providers Maintain incoming and outgoing faxes on copier machine in front office Accept Credit Card and post accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS EMR

(prefer eClinical Works) Certificate of completion for Medical Office program

Medical Office Front Desk:
