Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our established physician's practice, serving our community for over 40 years. This is a unique opportunity to work with a semi-retired physician, offering a flexible schedule perfect for accommodating school hours. The ideal candidate will be a multitasking expert with a strong desire to learn medical terminology and grow within a supportive environment. While medical office experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates exceptional administrative skills and a warm, professional demeanor. Duties Patiently, warmly, and professionally. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming Handle incoming phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately, and taking detailed messages. Process patient registrations, update demographics, and verify insurance information. Maintain accurate and organized patient records (both electronic and physical) Assist with light billing tasks and collect co-pays. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas Perform other administrative duties as assigned to ensure smooth office operations. Qualifications Previous experience in an office setting is preferred; we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates exceptional administrative skills and a warm, professional demeanor. Familiarity with health information management practices is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficient in computer skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
