We are a Pediatric Primary Care specialty clinic. We are seeking individuals willing to be a part of a team that is dedicated to patient care and able to function in a fast paced working environment.
Medical Receptionist:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. The individual will record and update financial information, record and collect patient charges, filing and collecting copays and/or deductibles from patients. Keeps patient appointments on schedule in the EMR and works off the EMR to maintain clinic physician's schedule by notifying providers of patient's arrival, reviewing patient check-in compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting patient information in order to assist Clinic's Billing personnel. Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. Verifies patient insurance information by interviewing patients and recording it in the patient's account. Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding, procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; practice policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
Work Hours:
We are looking for Individuals for either part-time or full-time. Clinic hours will vary. Some nights and weekends. Must be able to work an 8-hour shift and/or various shifts, Monday through Sunday. Individuals must be willing to work overtime when needed. As stated, some nights and weekends may be necessary as well. Benefits are a competitive package discussed during the interview.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bilingual (English and Spanish) 1+ years in a medical office Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology. Experience with AdvancedMD EMR is a plus. Previous experience in a Primary Care clinic setting is a plus.
