This role is a great fit for recent graduates looking to fill a gap year before grad school, or for anyone with some healthcare experience who wants hands-on clinical exposure. Whether you're building toward medical, PA, nursing, or another health-professions path—or simply want meaningful real-world experience in a clinical setting—this position offers a front-row seat to patient care. You'll work side by side with our providers as an integral part of the patient care team, documenting patient visits in real time and helping ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient visit for every patient. Along the way, you'll build a strong working knowledge of medical workflows, patient care coordination, and healthcare operations—experience that translates directly into future clinical and health-professions applications. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) in real time. Support providers in maintaining smooth clinic flow, anticipating needs, and ensuring visit documentation is complete and accurate. Manage pre-visit preparation, including chart reviews, updating health histories, and retrieving relevant clinical data. Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care, such as lab result tracking, referrals, and patient education materials. Participate in team huddles, process improvement initiatives, and staff meetings to support clinic goals. Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture that values communication, respect, and teamwork. What We're Looking For Recent graduates (or upcoming graduates) taking a gap year, or anyone seeking short-term, full-time clinical experience before their next step. Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or clinical operations—this role is ideal exposure for future applicants to medical, PA, nursing, or other health-professions programs. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and professional communication. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with accuracy and composure. Proficiency with technology and comfort learning electronic medical record systems. Prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred but not required—training will be provided. Preferred Qualifications Some administrative or clinical support experience in a healthcare setting a plus (e.g., medical scribing, CNA/EMT work, transcription, patient-facing roles). Strong critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing clinical needs. Comfortable committing to a defined full-time term (e.g., a gap-year timeframe) with the flexibility to discuss start/end dates.
