We are currently seeking a kind, patient Medication Technician to focus on creating a positive experience for all residents and family members by providing outstanding care and customer service. About the
Medication Technician Position:
We are looking for a kind, compassionate Medication Technician to work with our team to coordinate excellent care and customer service for our residents. The ideal candidate is patient and reliable with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team of people. Prioritizing resident care and well-being is of utmost importance. This position is a fast-paced physical environment that requires efficient time management, excellent communication, and prioritizing resident and team members safety.
Some Nurse Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and Title 22.
  • Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedure and state law.
  • Keep medicine carts and areas orderly, clean and appropriately stocked and locked.
  • Assist caregivers in performance of their job requirements and assume caregiver and medication technicians' activities as needed.
  • Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician.
  • Respond promptly to resident and staff needs.
  • Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills.
  • Participate in and complete narcotic count at beginning and end of each shift.
  • Communicate with physicians and family members as appropriate.
  • Per State of California regulations, as a "mandated reporter" you must report all known or suspected incidents of resident abuse of dependent adults or elders.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
Some Qualifications Include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pre-employment screenings which may include Livescan Fingerprint clearance as required by government regulations, physical, drug screening and TB test.
  • 1 years in Assisted Living preferred.
  • Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
