Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician/Caregiver to join us at Magnolia Manor. In this vital role, you will provide personalized medication assistance and comprehensive resident care within a senior living home. Duties Assist with Self - Administration medications accurately according to physician orders and facility protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, including heavy lifting and manual handling when necessary Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using electronic health record (EHR) systems or electronic medical record (EMR) systems Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using Cerner or other healthcare software platforms while ensuring confidentiality of patient information Provide emergency response support through first aid and CPR certification when required Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and report changes in condition or concerns Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities Strong knowledge of senior health needs Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC for accurate documentation of medical records and resident information Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on resident personal care assistance and memory/dementia care techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks related to patient mobility support Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Effective communication skills for caregiver interactions with residents' families and healthcare teams Valid certification in first aid, CPR, and basic life support (BLS); additional certifications like Alzheimer's care or hospice experience are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities-related needs is highly valued Join us to be part of a caring team that values your expertise!
