Hiring multiple people:
Med Technician/Care Partner for 12 hour day shifts and rotating weekends Med Technician/Care Partner for 12 hour night shifts and rotating weekends. •If you frequently call-out and/or are late, are not flexible with scheduling please do not apply. This position requires dedicated staff who show up as scheduled ready to meet the needs of the residents.• Care Partner / Certified Med Tech Job - As a Care Partner / Certified Med Tech you are responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing, clinical nurses in providing accurate assistance with self-administration to our residents, while also ensuring point of care documentation within the EMAR. You are also responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living and documenting the care provided. At Alura Senior Living team members work together to provide residents with compassionate care in a timely manner. Responsibilities Assistance with Self Medication to our residents and following the 7 Rights of medication management. Assist residents with activities of daily living. Supervision of residents. Provide resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials, answering call lights in a prompt manner, address resident requests and report observations of the residents to the nursing supervisor. Complete forms, reports, logs, and records as required. Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures. Protect organization's values by keeping residents' information confidential. Serve and protect the community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements and AHCA standards. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, in-services, reading professional publications and maintaining licensure. Enhances nursing department and community's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Qualifications Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. High School Diploma or GED equivalent Knowledge of relevant nursing care. Friendly and professional bedside manner. Maintain current CPR and first aid certification . Multi-tasking skills. Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills. Understands legal implications of patient care. Certification with accredited training course. Min. 2-years' experience preferred. Maintain valid Med Tech Certification, participating in yearly updates/certifications with accredited program. Job Related Physical Requirements Job requires good physical and mental health. Physical activities may include lifting, rotating, and assisting residents who are partially dependent for moving about. Able to move throughout community areas independently. Able to stand and walk the entire shift. Able to bend, stoop, pull & twist. Ability to lift more than 100 pounds with assistance. Potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and infections. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens Possible exposure to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards. $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
