Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Technician to join our team on the first shift full-time. Responsibilities Assist with daily resident personal care, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort needs in accordance with care plans. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and resident confidentiality. Perform basic medical procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and wound dressing under supervision. Document all patient interactions and medical information clearly in medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state healthcare regulations. Collaborate with nursing staff to provide comprehensive care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs. Assist in emergency situations by applying first aid or CPR as needed and communicating effectively with healthcare teams and emergency responders. Support the team in maintaining a safe environment through manual handling techniques and heavy lifting when required. Engage in ongoing training related to physiology knowledge, medical terminology, hospice care, and senior living facility standards to enhance patient care quality. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of senior care practices including dementia and memory care. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while assisting residents or handling equipment. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions and team collaboration.
