In person Join The Whitcomb Team The Whitcomb Senior Living Community is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech)/Caregiver to join our resident care team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing high-quality care, building meaningful relationships with older adults, and creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. As a Med Tech/Caregiver, you will play an important role in supporting residents' health, comfort, dignity, and independence. Primary Responsibilities Administer medications as ordered by residents' physicians and in accordance with established policies and procedures Accurately document medication administration, resident observations, and changes in condition Monitor residents for health concerns and promptly report changes to the Director of Care Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, mobility, and personal care Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment Encourage residents to remain as active and independent as possible Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and leadership Follow all resident safety, infection-control, confidentiality, and documentation standards Work collaboratively with the care team to provide consistent, resident-centered support Preferred Qualifications Medication administration training or certification preferred Previous experience as a Medication Technician, Med Tech, Certified Medication Aide, or Caregiver preferred Senior living, assisted living, memory care, or long-term care experience is a plus Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Effective time-management and organizational skills Ability to communicate concerns clearly and complete accurate documentation Positive attitude and team-focused approach Ability to meet all pre-employment, background-check, and applicable state and federal requirements Benefits Eligible employees may receive: 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Free on-site parking Schedule Eight-hour shifts Full-time and part-time opportunities Scheduling needs may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, or holidays Experience Relevant caregiving or medication administration experience: 1 year preferred Why Work at The Whitcomb? Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
