Role Description The Med Tech role at Inspirit Senior Living is a full-time, on-site position located in Macungie, PA. The Med Tech is responsible for safely preparing, administering, and documenting medications in accordance with physician orders, regulatory standards, and community policies. Daily tasks include monitoring residents for medication effects and changes in condition, assisting with basic patient care activities, and communicating observations to nursing leadership. The Med Tech also supports laboratory-related tasks as allowed by certification, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with caregivers to promote a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. This role works closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, person-centered care. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in medical technology and medicine relevant to medication administration and senior care. Candidates should possess skills in patient care, including observation, reporting changes in condition, and providing compassionate support to residents. Candidates should possess laboratory skills and laboratory medicine knowledge appropriate to basic testing or specimen handling, as permitted by role and credentials. Relevant certification or licensure as a Med Tech, Medication Aide, or equivalent as required by Pennsylvania regulations. Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, assisted living, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred. Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain detailed documentation, and adhere to safety and infection control standards. Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse residents and staff. Basic computer skills for electronic charting; ability to lift, turn, or assist residents in accordance with role requirements.
