In this vital role, you will provide essential medication administration and resident care within a vibrant senior living or healthcare environment. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe, timely medication management while supporting their overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of geriatric and disabled individuals, fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere that promotes dignity and independence. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately following state healthcare regulations and facility protocols Monitor residents' vital signs and physical responses to medication treatments Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication records, medical terminology entries, and care notes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Observe and report any changes in residents' health status, including symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's disease, ensuring timely communication with nursing staff Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care activities Uphold patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of privacy and safety Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with state Board of Nursing approval Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred Current CPR and First Aid certifications; additional certifications such as hospice care or Alzheimer's/dementia care are advantageous Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional resident-centered care.
