Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in administering medications and providing comprehensive personal care to residents in a senior living or healthcare facility. Your expertise will help ensure residents receive safe, effective medication management and personalized support, enhancing their quality of life. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state healthcare regulations and facility protocols Monitor residents' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to medication treatments, documenting accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with resident personal care activities including hygiene, mobility assistance, tube feeding, catheter care, and other daily living needs Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring residents' safety and comfort through compassionate engagement Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Observe for adverse reactions or changes in residents' conditions and promptly report findings to nursing staff or supervising clinicians Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including light housekeeping related to personal care and ensuring a safe environment for heavy lifting or manual handling tasks Experience Prior assisted living or senior care experience is highly preferred; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice settings is a plus Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with EHR systems is advantageous Hands-on experience providing resident personal care assistance in nursing homes or senior living facilities Certification as a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) recognized by the State Board of Nursing or equivalent licensing authority Knowledge of state healthcare regulations governing medication management and patient safety standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers; experience with manual handling techniques is beneficial Strong communication skills for caregiver interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Join us in delivering exceptional care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for every resident. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
