Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medication Technician / Caregiver to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized medication management and comprehensive care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory impairments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic environment that values professionalism, empathy, and excellence in patient care. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of your contributions. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess health status and report any abnormalities promptly Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding—especially in cases requiring tube feeding or catheter care Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for seamless documentation of medication administration and patient progress Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and senior care by implementing tailored caregiving strategies Conduct routine assessments based on physiology and anatomy knowledge to support overall patient health and well-being Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in acute or home & community care environments Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous Familiarity with caring for individuals with disabilities or complex medical conditions including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia Proven ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines while maintaining patient confidentiality Hands-on experience administering medications safely and accurately in various healthcare settings Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient monitoring and medical procedures Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional care that transforms lives.
