Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in medical records Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess health status Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care through compassionate engagement and tailored activities Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems like ECPr for accurate documentation of care provided Perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and repositioning residents to prevent injury Recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition and respond promptly by following established protocols such as CPR or first aid procedures Support the care team by preparing medical supplies or catheter care, and ensuring proper medical documentation Experience Previous assisted living or nursing home experience preferred; experience working with individuals with dementia highly valued Hands-on experience in healthcare settings or home care environments demonstrating strong patient care skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like ECP for accurate recordkeeping and documentation Experience working within state Board of Nursing regulations and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and state healthcare laws Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety Proven caregiving background supporting geriatric patients or those requiring hospice or dementia care This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals passionate about providing high-quality care in dynamic settings.
