Job Summary The Aide provides classroom and instructional support . Working under the direction of the Program Director and instructional staff, the Aide helps create a structured, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment by supporting student participation, engagement, organization, and success during classroom instruction and educational activities. Responsibilities include assisting students with following classroom routines and directions, reinforcing learning, promoting positive social interactions, helping prepare classroom materials and activities, supervising students during transitions and community outings as assigned, documenting attendance and observations, and collaborating with the instructional team to maintain a safe and supportive educational environment. This position focuses on supporting students within the learning environment and does not provide Adaptive Skills Training or implement individualized adaptive skills plans. Skills One year or more of direct service experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities. Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management strategies or a background in behavioral health or social services supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
