Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Companion, where your compassionate presence and attentive care make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide emotional support, assist with daily activities, and help create a comforting environment for patients across various care settings. Whether working in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care facilities, your dedication will enhance patient experiences and promote healing. Responsibilities Offer companionship and emotional support to patients during their hospital stay or outpatient visits Assist patients with light housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, and errands Monitor patient comfort levels and communicate any concerns Support patients in navigating hospital environments, including escorting them to appointments or therapy sessions Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and safety procedures Document patient interactions and observations accurately in accordance with agency policies Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patients' needs are met holistically Requirements Familiarity with Level I Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units, or Post-acute care environments is preferred Experience working in inpatient, outpatient, clinic, or sub-acute care settings demonstrates versatility and adaptability Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to diverse patient populations Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety and infection control standards Previous experience in teaching hospitals or outpatient clinics is a plus Demonstrated reliability and professionalism in fast-paced healthcare environments Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
