Housing Technician (2pm-2am)

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position working a mid-shift schedule, exact days and hours to be discussed further. Must have some flexibility with scheduling as it may vary based on needs. In this role, your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their overall wellness, mental health, and quality of life while working on their recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive environment and utilizing effective behavior management techniques. Duties Work with residents to ensure they are following the program rules and engaging in their treatment. Utilize crisis management techniques as necessary to ensure the safety of clients and staff. Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately in compliance with medical documentation standards. Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists, medical staff, and social workers to provide comprehensive support for clients. Maintain an understanding of medical terminology and vital signs to assist in client care as needed. Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to behavior management strategies and crisis intervention. Experience/Qualifications Must be comfortable working with clients diagnosed with mental health conditions and/or in early recovery from substance use disorder Must have a current/valid driver's license and a clean driving record Must be able to pass a drug screen and a criminal history background check Previous experience in the behavioral health field, or related areas such as psychiatric care, social work, or skilled nursing is preferred. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential.
