$16.46 minimum - determined with education and relevant experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
(Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships) Work with building staff, students, and families to promote productive student behavior and engagement in learning tied to the 7 Habits of Leader in Me Enhance climate and culture utilizing the 7 Habits Connect LIM habits with PBIS, Second Step, BoysTown, and DCSD Behavior Guidance Support identified students to teach and reinforce social skills through LIM, PBIS, etc. Work collaboratively with staff using developmentally appropriate practices Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to assist in managing behavior Develop and maintain documentation and data collection to determine effectiveness of interventions Communicate student progress with staff, students, and families Assist with daily activities and routines of students Model enthusiasm, patience, and flexibility Implement building and district level initiatives Help plan and deliver appropriate professional development Other duties as assigned by the principal
Physical Requirements of Position:
Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties. Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. such as assisting children or moving/rearranging furniture. Must be able to supervise students in all types of weather. Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.

Special Qualification Desired:

Strong background in Leader In Me and PBIS Excellent attendance Strong data analysis, organizational and leadership skills Able to work effectively in a team and exhibits positive interpersonal skills Self-motivated Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and staff
