Position Overview :

The Site Assistant will support the Site Director in the daily operations of the before/ after school program. This role involves engaging with children, leading activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering an inclusive and positive environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in planning and implementing daily activities and programs that are engaging, educational, and fun for children. Supervise and interact with children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Provide homework assistance and academic support to students. Promote positive behavior and core character values through role modeling and direct instruction. Communicate effectively with site lead, parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns. Assist in setting up and cleaning up program spaces, ensuring they are safe and organized. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Ivy League Kids, including those related to health, safety, and confidentiality. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Coordinator or Program Director. 21+ to drive a 15 passenger van

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children in a school, camp, or recreational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a group of children effectively and compassionately. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Background check clearance.

Energetic and enthusiastic with a passion for working with children. Creative and resourceful in planning and executing activities. Patient, empathetic, and able to handle challenging behaviors positively. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Work Schedule :

Monday to Friday, with hours typically from 6:15am- 9:00am and/or 1:45 PM to 6:30 PM (hours may vary based on site needs).
