- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to join our dynamic team.
In this vital role, you will serve as a leader and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, intellectual disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Your expertise will guide personalized care plans, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for those we serve. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Coordinate and oversee direct support activities, ensuring clients' safety and well-being during daily routines and community outings. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Utilize behavioral health strategies and behavior management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviors. Conduct data collection to track progress, document incidents, and inform ongoing care adjustments. Provide client communication support using effective communication skills, including American Sign Language if applicable. Support clients with cognitive disabilities by promoting skill development in social, communication, and life skills within home and community settings. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders in a behavioral health or social services setting. Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting clients with intellectual disabilities. Experience working with patients requiring assistance with ADLs and personal transportation in community environments. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid/CPR certification is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, team members, and community partners. Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client outings and appointments. Background in caregiving or home & community care services that emphasizes client-centered support approaches.
