Assistance Team - Day

Job Description

Are you driven by a passion to help children? Are you someone who can maintain positive relationships with children? Can you increase children's knowledge and use of individual coping skills? If yes, Lakemary is looking for an Assistance Team Member for our Children's Residential Service Program. In this role you will work with children in this during school hours. This role functions under general supervision of a Campus Coach.
Assistance Team Member Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate driven care and supervision of children and youth. Assist and monitor individuals served with activities. Encourage individuals served to be active in their life and offer a variety of opportunities/community events. Transport children to and from activates out in the community with company vehicle. Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to children to keep them mentally healthy and alert. Provide transitional support to the school environment during non-school days requested One-on-one support for children as needed during transition times. Must complete fidelity checks on Ignite mentors and Behavioral Health Technicians. An ideal candidate for this position has: Ability to: Learn and apply each child's treatment plan and implement therapeutic interventions as necessary. Intervene in crisis situations, including physical management of residents, using approved crisis management system and skills. Make decisions and takes actions which are appropriate based on sound reasoning. Demonstrate consistent judgement regarding appropriate behavior to other staff and children.
Assistance Team Member Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Be at least 18+ years of age Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to meet standard driving requirements. Must have direct care experience. Must complete Ignite mentor training
Other Job Details:
Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Starting pay: $ 21.40/hour Lakemary provides competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans; paid time off; and a 401(k)-retirement plan
Certifications:
Lakemary provides training in program specific coursework.
