+ Observes patients to detect behavior patterns and report observations and concerns to the registered nurse or behavioral health clinician.
+ Implements patient-centered care and trauma-informed care.
+ Creates and supports a therapeutic environment for safe treatment implementation.
+ Performs observation rounds on assigned patients, documenting in real time, in order to detect behavior patterns.
+ Utilizes clear and positive communication skills to assess and provide therapeutic intervention for patients' and families' needs and concerns.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to communicate appropriately, professionally, and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
+ Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
+ Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and local, state, and national laws
+ Proficiency in computer systems to enter and track patient records
+ Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
+ Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational
English Education:
+ High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
+ Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
Field of Study:
+ In a
Social Science Work Experience:
+ Of Position-Related Experience [Preferred]
+ Of work experience in an Inpatient/24-hour-per-day mental health/substance abuse setting. [Preferred]

+ Basic Life Support
•CPR Cert ( BLS ) [Required] + Certified Nurse Assistant ( CNA ) [Preferred]
