Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Paraprofessional to work onsite at a vibrant middle school near Springfield, MA. This full-time contract role, running through June 2027, centers on supporting students and staff within the classroom setting. You'll play a pivotal role fostering student growth alongside experienced educators, with a special focus on learners with autism and those who require special education support.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, classroom aide, teacher aide, RBT, or in a similar school-based role is strongly preferred Background in supporting students with autism and/or special education needs highly desirable Skilled in providing focused one-on-one or small-group support to students Demonstrated experience implementing behavioral or classroom support strategies Collaborative attitude and experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability are essential Willingness and ability to assist students with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering, as needed Reliable transportation required for consistent attendance
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct classroom support, working closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service professionals Assist students with daily academic activities and behavior regulation strategies Support students' engagement and independence, adapting assistance to individual needs Participate in meetings and collaborate on student support plans Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students, including those requiring personal care If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school setting and meet the required qualifications, we invite you to apply.
