Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Health Office Assistant Substitute within our district. This position is essential for supporting the daily operations of the health office, ensuring the well-being of students and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to health and safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid and basic medical assistance to students and staff as needed.
  • Assist in the administration of medications according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation for students, including immunization records and health screenings.
  • Support the health office staff in managing daily operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and scheduling appointments.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the health office.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student health concerns.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to district policies and procedures regarding student health information.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health or medical fields is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a health office, school setting, or medical environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR; certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and varying schedules.
  • Must pass background checks and comply with district policies.
