Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a school-based paraprofessional to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students. This temporary assignment runs through December 10, 2026, offering the chance to make a direct impact as you assist students with behavioral needs and those on the autism spectrum. Daily schedules are being finalized and may include partial days, allowing for some flexibility during the school week. Ideal candidates have experience and compassion for working 1:1 or in small group settings with students who require additional support as they navigate their educational environment.
There are multiple openings:
two to three positions available in elementary, and one in the secondary middle grade level.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
High School diploma required, along with a minimum of 48 hours of college-level coursework At least two years of paraprofessional experience in a school setting Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting behavioral challenges and/or autism spectrum disorders Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate well with educators and support staff Adaptable and patient, with a genuine commitment to student growth
What You'll Do:
Support teaching staff and provide direct assistance to assigned students throughout the school day Foster a safe, supportive learning environment tailored to individual student needs Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed Maintain detailed documentation and assist with student progress monitoring Contribute to positive classroom dynamics and encourage student engagement This contract role in a supportive educational environment is a valuable opportunity to advance your skills and serve a meaningful population.
