Job Description

This position assists the Behavioral Health Providers in the Family Medicine Clinics with direct patient care, examinations and treatment plans. Administers nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of the medical staff within the scope of practice of a certified medical assistant. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position. Hours are typically scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., based on clinic and provider needs. While the position offers some flexibility in establishing a regular work schedule, once a schedule is agreed upon, it is expected to remain consistent to support operational needs and continuity of care. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} Graduation from an accredited school with a degree as medical assistant Must have a third-party credential as a Certified Medical Assistant (such as AAMA) Must be on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry Clinic experience preferred; behavioral health or mental health experience preferred Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients experiencing mental health conditions Knowledge of behavioral health terminology, psychiatric medications, and mental health screening tools preferred Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries in sensitive situations Experience with care coordination, referral management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams preferred Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to patients experiencing emotional distress or behavioral health crises Strong organizational, documentation, and customer service skills Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred BLS/CPR certification preferred a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;}
