401(k) Behavioral Assistant (BA) Align Behavioral Health | Sussex County, NJ | Part time | Flexible after school and evening hours Behavioral Assistants work one to one with youth in the home, school, and community through the New Jersey Children's System of Care. What you will do Work directly with youth ages 5 through 20 in their home and community, carrying out the behavioral goals from the treatment plan Model, coach, and practice skills in the moment: routines, coping strategies, communication, following expectations Help youth regulate and recover safely when behavior escalates, and coach caregivers to carry the strategies forward when you are not there Write a progress note for every session and submit it in CYBER within the agency timeframe Attend Child Family Team meetings when requested and check in regularly with the assigned IIC clinician Work under the supervision of appropriate clinical staff, as required by

77 What you need High school diploma or equivalent Must be 21 years of age or older At least one year of relevant experience in a comparable environment, meaning post high school work supporting the behavioral or mental health needs of youth Valid NJ driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Availability for after school and evening hours Patience, follow through, and comfort working inside family homes What counts as relevant experience Your year does not have to come from a clinical job title, and it does not have to be paid. Internships and volunteer work count when the involvement was substantive and ongoing. Examples of experience that typically qualifies: Teacher's aide, paraprofessional, or one to one aide supporting students with behavioral or emotional needs Direct care or residential staff in a group home, shelter, or treatment program serving youth Behavior technician, RBT, or ABA support staff Youth worker in a partial care, day treatment, or after school program serving youth with behavioral health needs Personal care assistant or support staff for youth with developmental disabilities Mentoring or case aide work with at risk youth A substantive internship or practicum supporting youth behavioral health General childcare, babysitting, retail, and food service do not meet the standard on their own. Preferred, not required Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, human services, or a related field BA certification already completed, or prior CSOC experience Bilingual in Spanish What we provide Onboarding, CYBER and documentation training, and shadowing before you work independently BA certification enrollment. Certification must be completed within 60 days of hire. Ongoing supervision and support from a licensed clinician Real experience for anyone heading toward an MSW, counseling program, or ABA work Flexible scheduling built around your availability Pay $25-35 per hour (W2), depending on experience Before hire Background check with fingerprinting, CARI clearance, verification of your diploma and experience, references, and completion of the Align credentialing packet.
