Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Self-Hired Respite caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized support to individuals with diverse needs. This flexible position allows you to offer essential care and companionship, empowering clients to maintain independence and quality of life in their homes or community settings. Your energetic and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for those you serve. Duties Provide attentive patient observation and monitor the individual and his needs Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or autism through engaging activities and memory care techniques Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning and sanitation tasks Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility Observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting concerns promptly to supervising healthcare professionals Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and infection control procedures to ensure resident safety at all times Prior experience working in group homes, with individuals with disabilties , nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize signs of distress or health deterioration Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan implementation Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support is preferred Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate caregiving that promotes independence and dignity.
