Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Behavior Specialist to support children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and patient care, with a passion for fostering positive growth and development in young individuals. As a Licensed Behavior Specialist, you will design and implement behavioral interventions, conduct assessments, and collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote meaningful progress. Responsibilities Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions utilizing positive behavior support strategies tailored to each child's needs. Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly, ensuring optimal outcomes. Conduct intake assessments and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and educational staff on behavioral techniques and strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for children with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Ensure all patient documentation, including medical terminology and records, is accurate, timely, and confidential. Support children during therapy sessions, fostering a safe environment that encourages growth and positive behavior change. Experience Proven experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities. Strong background in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and positive behavior support strategies. Prior experience working with children in clinical or educational settings within special education or behavioral health environments. Familiarity with medical documentation procedures, medical terminology, and maintaining HIPAA compliance. Demonstrated ability to perform behavioral assessments, data collection, and diagnostic evaluations effectively. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders support techniques and intervention planning for diverse populations. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
