Job Description

As a Behavior Interventionist, you will play a key role in supporting youth by providing individualized behavioral and educational support. This position focuses on helping students build skills, improve behavior, and succeed in structured school and community environments. We're looking for experienced, compassionate professionals to join our team as Behavior Interventionists. In this role, you'll work closely with students, staff, and families to implement behavior strategies, support skill development, and create a safe, structured, and positive environment.
What You'll Do:
Provide daily behavioral and educational support to students Implement and support Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity Assist in developing and monitoring behavior goals and progress Support staff in behavior management strategies, reinforcement techniques, and intervention approaches Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to Education Support Staff Collaborate with clinicians, teachers, and leadership to support student success Engage directly with students in school, community, and experiential learning environments Promote skill development in social, recreational, and daily living areas Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all students Supervise students at all times to ensure safety and engagement Facilitate conflict resolution and support positive peer interactions Communicate with families and involve them in behavior support strategies Provide training and modeling of best practices to staff Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, and incident reports Ensure compliance with all policies, including confidentiality and safety procedures Support additional duties as assigned Why Join Fundamentals? What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field (preferred) 3+ years experience in youth behavior support or related field 1+ year leadership or supervisory experience (preferred) Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and youth development Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to manage challenging or physically aggressive behaviors Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Ability to actively engage with youth in a variety of settings Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with student positioning if needed Valid driver's license required Must pass
Caregiver Background Check Schedule & Program Details:
This position works Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM year-round. Rotational Saturdays may be required in the future. Join us and make a meaningful impact. Salary $55,000 - $60,000 per year
