In this role, you will provide compassionate care, ensure security, and assist with daily operations to promote stability and well-being. Assist residents with daily activities and provide basic needs to promote a safe and nurturing environment Conduct intake assessments and document client information accurately through data entry, filing, and data collection processes Provide crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and supporting behavioral management strategies Monitor security by conducting patrols, controlling access points, and ensuring the safety of residents and staff at all times Administer medication following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication administration records Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid skills, ensuring proper procedures are followed to protect residents' health and safety Communicate effectively with residents, staff, external agencies, and emergency responders to coordinate care and resolve issues efficiently Answer phones effectively and professionally Cleaning common areas as needed Proven ability to handle crisis situations with calmness and professionalism Experience working with the public Knowledge of security protocols, conflict management techniques, and behavioral health practices Familiarity with intake procedures, medication administration, data entry systems, filing practices, and data collection methods Home & community care experience is advantageous for understanding client needs beyond the shelter setting This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse populations while maintaining confidentiality.
