TERO Ordinance 2017-01, P.L. 93-638 Job Summary The Registration Technician is a member of the Behavioral Health Team and is responsible for the collection, verification, and entry for all un'ina (patient) demographic and insurance information. The accurate and timely performance of job duties of the Registration Technician directly impacts the revenue received by the Kenaitze Indian Tribe. Essential Functions Greets all un'ina, co-workers with a smile- provides exceptional customer service with each interaction Responsible for un'ina registration, ensuring accurate capture and data entry of all un'ina updated demographic and insurance information Ensures capture of all charges for services provided at Behavioral Health Operates credit card machine and cash drawer Scans ID, CIB, and insurance cards into electronic registration package Hands out referral forms, intake packets, educational materials, as needed Verification of insurance Monitors waiting room behaviors; notify Safety & Security in the event of disruptive un'ina Make reminder phone calls for appointments Sort mail and ensure delivery to appropriate personnel and provide assistance to Behavioral Health Department as needed It is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
