Lead Recovery Center is seeking an experienced, dependable Behavioral Health Technician to join our six-bed detox and residential treatment program. We are looking for someone with hands-on substance use disorder treatment experience who is confident facilitating client groups, managing behavioral health situations, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting clients throughout the recovery process. This position requires sound judgment, strong boundaries, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative treatment team. Key Responsibilities Facilitate structured client groups and document services as required. Complete all assigned duties and documentation within Lead Recovery Center and California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) timelines. Conduct and document client rounds every 30 minutes. Review the shift log at the beginning of each shift and complete the shift log and all assigned tasks before the end of the shift. Complete admission procedures for new clients, including urine drug screening, belongings searches, required paperwork, and orientation to the program. Document clients' daily progress, behaviors, participation, and significant events in the clinical record. For overnight shifts, document the quantity and quality of each client's sleep. Observe and document client self-administration of medications in accordance with company policies and DHCS requirements. Monitor and document blood pressure and other vital signs as required. Record new medications and medication changes according to company and DHCS procedures. Provide crisis intervention and promptly report safety concerns or changes in client condition. Transport clients to appointments, meetings, and other approved activities. Assist, teach, and supervise clients with daily living skills and general program activities. Support meal preparation and help maintain a clean, safe, and recovery-focused environment. Perform filing, copying, and other administrative duties as assigned. Complete additional duties necessary to support client care and facility operations. Minimum Qualifications Prior experience working in a detox, residential treatment, or substance use disorder treatment setting. Prior experience facilitating behavioral health or recovery-focused groups. Current registration or certification through a DHCS-approved certifying organization, such as RADT, SUDRC, or RAC . Current CPR and First Aid certification. TB clearance completed within 60 days before hire or within seven days after hire. Ability to accurately monitor and document vital signs. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies or behavioral health crises. Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Physical ability to complete assigned duties, including client rounds and facility tasks. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company requirements for transporting clients. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
Available Shifts Weekdays:
8-hour morning, swing, and graveyard shifts Candidates must be reliable, punctual, comfortable working in a small residential environment, and able to complete required documentation before the end of each shift.
