Competitive Salary DOE + Benefits Join Our Mission of Recovery and Hope Changing Options Transitional Residential Treatment Program (TRTP) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our multidisciplinary team. Our program provides residential mental health services to adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) who are working toward recovery, stability, and successful community integration. Position Summary The LVN/LPT provides nursing and psychiatric support services to residents in a structured residential treatment setting. Under the direction of the Program Administrator and consulting medical professionals, the LVN/LPT assists with medication management, health monitoring, documentation, crisis intervention, and client care coordination. Key Responsibilities Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Monitor residents for changes in physical, emotional, and behavioral health status. Conduct medication counts and maintain appropriate medication storage and records. Collaborate with psychiatrists, clinicians, case managers, and direct care staff. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment and recovery plans. Provide group and individual education to residents regarding medications, wellness, symptom management, and healthy living. Respond appropriately to psychiatric and medical emergencies. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health record Maintain compliance with Community Care Licensing, Department of Health Care Services, Medi-Cal, and applicable regulatory standards. Support a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered treatment environment.

Qualifications Required:

Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license in good standing. Current CPR/First Aid Certification. Experience working with adults with serious mental illness, behavioral health conditions, or residential treatment populations. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred:

Minimum one (1) year of experience in mental health, psychiatric, residential treatment, or community behavioral health settings. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and side-effect monitoring. Experience with Medi-Cal documentation and behavioral health regulations.
