Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Program Director or his/her designee, this is a front-line position. The primary emphasis is to maintain appropriate patient (resident) traffic flow within the residential setting. The incumbent works with the criminal justice population, and within a clinically based milieu.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets APT foundation patients (residents and their families) in courteous and helpful manner. Provides appropriate diagnostic tests, including urine screening and breathalyzer, as requested. Follows established guidelines. Follows written and verbal instructions. Ability to work within an often busy and sometimes challenging environment dominated by constant interruptions Willingness to accept instruction and supervision on a continuous or frequent basis Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills; Ability to interact with clients, patients, staff throughout the day or evening hours Ability to work with diverse and often culturally different individuals across multiple boundaries including physical and/or cognitive impairments or disabilities, ethnicity, gender identity, as well as linguistically different skill sets; Ability to maintain the highest ethical standards including disclosure of real and potential conflicts of interest with patients and clients of the Foundation Maintains patient and/or family and/or participant confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree or 2 years post-secondary education; or equivalent combination of training and education. Experience in mental health/ substance use facility a plus. MUST have valid CT Driver's License.
