In this vital leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, support clinical staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health and behavioral care to individuals with diverse needs. Duties Lead and supervise a team of Behavioral Health Technicians during the second shift, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent, compassionate care delivery. Oversee client intake processes, including assessments related to mental health, behavioral needs, and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and other evidence-based practices. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Conduct regular safety checks, vital signs assessments, and first aid or CPR as needed to promote client well-being. Manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff. Document all clinical interactions, medical records, and incident reports thoroughly within electronic health record systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special educators, addiction counselors, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Train staff on medical terminology, behavior management techniques, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) support strategies, and neurodevelopmental disorder interventions. Requirements Proven experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of mental health conditions including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) care and substance use disorders. Strong background in crisis management, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience administering medication and monitoring vital signs in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with youth is highly preferred. Certification in CPR/First Aid is required; additional certifications in applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling or special education are advantageous. Ability to work effectively during second shift hours while maintaining high energy levels and a positive attitude.
