Our Overnight Program Associates play a critical role in keeping our clients and facility safe while the rest of the program sleeps. This position requires someone who is dependable, observant, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a secure, well-run environment throughout the night. Who We Are Maui Recovery is a residential treatment center serving adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We provide evidence-based care in a structured, respectful environment where clients are supported as they build lasting recovery. Recovery doesn't stop overnight, and neither does our responsibility to our clients. Overnight staff are trusted to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and respond confidently when unexpected situations arise. We value people who are reliable, adaptable, and take pride in doing important work that often happens behind the scenes. What You'll Do As an Overnight Program Associate, you'll help ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our residential treatment program during overnight hours.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting scheduled safety rounds and documenting client observations throughout the shift Maintaining a safe, secure, and structured environment overnight Monitoring clients and responding appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations Remaining awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift Observing and documenting medication self-administration when required Obtaining and documenting vital signs as directed Performing urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and other approved screenings when needed Assisting with late-night or early-morning admissions and discharges as needed Preparing the facility for the upcoming day shift Completing accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Communicating important observations and overnight events during shift handoff Maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Supporting the overall overnight operation of the program wherever needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Is passionate about recovery and believes people can change Is dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision Remains calm, professional, and solution-focused in stressful situations Stays alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts Exercises sound judgment and responds appropriately during emergencies Is confident de-escalating conflict and managing unexpected situations Pays close attention to detail and completes documentation accurately Communicates clearly with teammates during shift transitions Treats every client with dignity, respect, and compassion Behavioral health experience is valuable, but character matters just as much. If you're reliable, observant, and motivated by helping create a safe environment where recovery can continue around the clock, we'd love to hear from you. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment screenings Preferred Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, security, emergency services, hospitality, or other human service settings Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and/or mental health disorders Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Ongoing training and professional development Opportunities for advancement A collaborative and supportive work environment Recovery doesn't stop overnight. $23.00 per hour
