Behavioral Health Technician (Part-Time)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our inpatient substance abuse treatment team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting and a passion for supporting individuals in recovery. This position plays an important role in providing direct client support, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and assisting the clinical and nursing teams with daily operations.
Available Shifts :
Monday's and Wednesday's 7am - 7pm, Wednesday's 7pm - 7am Responsibilities Provide direct support and supervision to clients in an inpatient treatment environment Monitor client behavior and ensure safety throughout the facility Assist with client admissions, discharges, and daily activities Conduct routine vital signs and report concerns to nursing staff Facilitate transportation and assist with client appointments when needed Maintain accurate documentation and shift notes Support clients through crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when appropriate Assist with meal supervision, room checks, and medication line monitoring Collaborate with clinical, medical, and operations teams to ensure quality client care Help maintain a structured, positive, and recovery-focused environment Qualifications Prior experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance abuse treatment setting preferred Experience working in an inpatient or residential setting is a plus Ability to take and document vital signs accurately Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations Team-oriented with a positive and compassionate attitude Basic computer and documentation skills required High School Diploma or GED required CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
