IN CLINIC M/W/F 8
00-3:00 Have the option of adding an in-home client 3:00-5:00PM in Troy. Would change the in clinic client to be 8:00-12:30/1:00. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Implement behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach
Support individuals in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
Assist with crisis management and intervention as needed
Experience:
Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) preferred
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
Familiarity with medical terminology related to autism and developmental disabilities
Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting
Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
Understanding of special education practices and strategies
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other professionals
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in challenging situations
Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with ASD
