  • Full-time Haven New Jersey is seeking an experienced Lead Behavioral Health Technician (Lead BHT) to join our growing inpatient substance abuse treatment team.
This leadership role is ideal for a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician with prior experience in a residential or inpatient treatment setting who is passionate about supporting clients in recovery while mentoring fellow team members.
Schedule:
Overnight, open to full-time or part-time applicants Responsibilities Lead and support Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shifts. Provide direct supervision and guidance to BHT staff. Ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients. Assist with admissions, discharges, client monitoring, and daily programming. Conduct rounds, document client observations, and complete required reports. Respond appropriately to client crises and behavioral concerns. Help train and onboard new BHT team members. Promote compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure quality client care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in an inpatient or residential substance abuse treatment setting is required. Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). High school diploma or GED required; additional behavioral health education is a plus.
