5 Shifts available Monday-Friday; 9am•3pm or 12am•8am
Days:
Saturday & Sunday; 8am•4pm
Evening:
Saturday & Sunday; 4pm•12am
Overnight:

Overview:
Seeking a Peer Counselor to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of behavioral health issues, and a commitment to fostering hope and resilience in others. Responsibilities Offer empathetic peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivation. Assist clients in developing coping strategies and engaging in behavioral health treatment plans. Conduct crisis intervention and manage urgent situations with calmness and professionalism, ensuring safety for all involved. Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care and provide feedback on client progress. Periodic room inspections for safety measures and to report any concerns, damages or problems to shift supervisor. Assist guests with the upkeep & cleanliness of room, as needed. Facilitate group activities focused on wellness, social skills, and recovery education. Maintain accurate documentation of interactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems while respecting client confidentiality. Mentor individuals through behavioral health challenges, addiction recovery, and social integration efforts. Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 2 years of experience in behavioral health concepts, mental health counseling principles, and motivational interviewing methods. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols. Certification as a Peer Support Specialist or similar credential is advantageous but not mandatory
Pay:
Up to $21.00 per hour
