Youth Behavioral Specialist Available Shifts:
8 hour shifts 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm (no set days, so you must be flexible) Part time, weekdays, weekends & holidays required
Pay :
$18.00 per hour
Job Description:
Hidden Cove Residential Treatment Center is a Treatment facility that houses at risk youth aging from 10 to 17 years old. Hidden Cove Residential Treatment Facility is looking for direct daily on site supervision of residents through support services. Responsibilities Be aware of the youth's habits, interests, and any special needs, including any special supervision needs Actively supervise youth to include auditory and visual supervision in order to know where youth are at all times. Maintain daily progress notes for the youth in care. May be required to administer medication after completion of medication administration training. Message response for documentation, cooking, room searches, conducting life skill groups, one on one therapeutic intervention and trauma informed care methods Assists with safety behavior management and crises intervention when youth's conduct warrants. Establish rapport and sense of trust with residents. Required Work Experience At least 1 year of experience in a residential treatment facility with at-risk youth Assists children and youth develop life skills, social skills and/or access to community resources. Provides individual care and guidance consistent with the needs of an individual group with mental health issues, behavioral challenges, or addictions.
Skills Needed:
Commitment to young people and an understanding of the factors affecting their lives. The ability to act with integrity in times of stress. Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish good relationships with a range of people. Patience, tolerance and flexibility.
