Non-Exempt Description:
Wellness Advocates are on site 24 hours a day. Their duty is to provide a calm atmosphere and healing environment for our clients. Wellness Advocates are the heart and soul of Windmill Wellness Ranch LLC. Our Philosophy is to assist clients where they are in their healing process. Wellness Advocates help the clients move where needed through out the day/night, groups, classes, meal times and meetings. Wellness Advocates are required to report any concerns to therapists or Clinical Director. These items will be reviewed in the face-to-face Ethics and overview of Windmill Wellness Ranches Protocols.
Responsibilities:
Orient new clients to the facility, including expectations and rules. Facilitates client's daily activities in accordance with their current level of treatment, including wake-up, assistance with meal service, assistance with laundry, etc. Transports clients to and from necessary appointments Observes and monitors client's behavior and intervenes based on individual client's treatment plan and facility needs Facilitates assigned groups/meetings/activities per program schedule Documents observations / milieu interventions in client records (minimum of one entry per shift/group) Writes shift report in Communication Log, including summary of the shift events and shift change Orients oneself upon starting a shift by thoroughly reading all communications since previous shift Attends and participates in monthly staff meetings Provides transportation to and supervision of clients at community 12-step meetings per program schedule Transports clients per supervisor's directives (for court, ancillary services, etc.) Ensures transportation safety by conducting vehicle inspections and following safety rules. Ensures physical safety and security by conducting regular facility checks per policy and procedure. Ensures the facility is aesthetically appropriate, including but not limited to trash removal, dish washing, staging of units, etc. Assigns clients appropriate detox buddy Conducts admit to facility with new clients, including proper completion of our documentation©Copyright 2019 Windmill Wellness Ranch LLC in accordance with our policies and procedures, search of items brought to facility and lock-up of contraband and medications One-on-one supervision of at-risk clients (ASA risk; suicidal ideation, etc.) per directive from supervisor Immediately report any Suicide Ideation and do not leave client and radio for nurse Follows emergency procedures exactly (including following paging protocol, following directives given exactly, transportation, etc.) ASA prevention; including one-on-one coaching, and immediate notification (via in person or by call) of Wellness Advocate Supervisor whenever a client talks about leaving the program Conducts UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures Different or additional responsibilities and general duties may be assigned in the sole discretion of management. This Job Description may be amended in the sole discretion of management.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
1-year experience with 12-step programs preferred
