8:00 AM•8:00 PM & 8:00 PM-8:00 AM•Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly in environments such as assisted living, group homes, or nursing facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, compassion, including monitoring health needs and ensuring the safety and comfort of clients. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Provide personal care services while maintaining the dignity and respect of each individual Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient conditions Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals Assist with medication administration when required Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts for safe transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing deep cleaning housekeeping tasks Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life Document patient observations and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff Restrictive Training Medication Administration; along with obtaining medical documents Vitals Requirements Previous experience in home health care, hospice care, or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring techniques Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Adults with Mental Health is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility needs Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others Certification in caregiving or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory Up to date with technology as charting is involved daily
