Overview Join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Health Technician / Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use disorder. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work closely with adults experiencing substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Your compassionate care and proactive intervention will help foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes growth, stability, and well-being for those in your care. Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily activities, meal prep and vital signs monitoring in compliance with healthcare protocols. Implement behavior intervention plans. Conduct intake assessments, document medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Engage clients through social work practices, crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention to promote emotional regulation and safety. Support mental health and behavioral care by collecting data, tracking progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans. Assist with client communication, behavior management strategies, and behavior intervention plans tailored to individual needs. Respond effectively to emergency situations using first aid and CPR skills while maintaining a calm demeanor to ensure safety for all. Requirements Prior experience with substance use disorders is highly preferred. must be a high school graduate. Ability to perform crisis management, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and apply behavior analysis principles effectively. Strong communication skills. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in addiction counseling or autism support are advantageous. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical information responsibly.
