Provides nursing, psychiatric and personal care to mentally ill forensic patients. Encourages residents to develop work skills and to participate in social, recreational and other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills and develop social and therapeutic relationships. Also supervises residents on approved outings, Responsible for documenting information regarding patient care and behavior. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Applicants selected must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and a breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing as for probable cause as set forth in agency & bureau policies. Selected applicants must successfully complete a background check. Education:

High school diploma or the equivalent.

Experience:

Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in the care, treatment, and development of the physically or mentally ill.
