Job Description

Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks Locum Certified Nurse Midwives to provide full-scope maternity and women's health care at partner hospitals and clinics across Florida. In this contract role, you'll manage prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum care while collaborating with OB/Gyns and nursing teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities include performing exams, ordering and interpreting labs, documenting in EMRs, participating in call coverage, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities Provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services Perform routine women's health exams and screenings Collaborate with OB/Gyns, nurses, and hospital staff to coordinate patient care Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Participate in on-call coverage and respond to emergent obstetric situations Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care Adhere to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Skills Full-scope midwifery practice Labor and delivery management Prenatal and postpartum care Women's health and gynecologic care Fetal monitoring and interpretation Emergency obstetric management Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Interdisciplinary care collaboration Regulatory and clinical guideline compliance
